Our story
Changing children’s lives through music since 2014
Music Art Project, in partnership with the renowned El Sistema movement, works towards social inclusion and the development of children through music.

Music of Hope
A safe place for a child to discover what they can do
The innovative group music-learning programme in children’s and youth orchestras and choirs, Music of Hope, gives children creative and structured time off the streets. In a safe and inspiring environment they explore their potential through rich musical experience, learn from each other and grow holistically — saving many from social marginalisation and crime.
El Sistema
A movement that began in Venezuela in 1975
Founded by visionary, musician and economist Dr José Antonio Abreu, El Sistema built its work on the joy of making music together — to empower children and young people from different cultural backgrounds, help them connect, and be understood and accepted within their communities. The goal of this model of music teaching is to develop values and traits in children that will help build a better society tomorrow.

Community
The orchestra as a model community
Orchestras and choirs of hope are the perfect model of an inclusive community built on mutual respect, togetherness, collaboration and tolerance — raising generations of creative leaders who rely on their abilities and on each other, and giving every child room to grow and the motivation that carries them towards ever higher goals.
